As a mother of four children, two of which are autistic, I have been through numerous instructors and coaches. 5 Rings is the one place that the instructors truly care about my kids. They have built up their self-esteem, given them the chance to build leadership skills, and assured them that veggies really are good for them. They encourage them, teach them discipline, respect, and self control, and most importantly, they are patient and caring. Because of 5 Rings, my kids are all in high achieving classes, maintaining honor roll, and are all around great kids.

The dojo provides a positive and friendly atmosphere for martial arts training. Instruction is done with attention to detail from learning the basics of stance and posture to advanced defense, forms and sparring. There is a great emphasis on body and cardio conditioning as well as attitude and discipline. I would definitely recommend this dojo to others.

Five Rings Martial Arts is a wonderful school for any individual that seeks a Black Belt based on the principles of Modesty, Courtesy, Integrity, Self-Control, Perseverance... These are some of the principles we live by. Both Sensei Vince and Sensei Mike are not only highly professional and qualified but they make us all feel as we are part of one big family in a very friendly, caring and positive way. In there, no one is better than anybody, but they make us feel confident and proud! A wonderful disciplined -but, yet fun- environment for any age!

The sensis here are amazing with the various age groups and levels of fitness. my daughter is in withthe small kids class and it isnt your normal talk down stuff it is done to inspirate them. One example is every once in awhile all kids have a super hero name for the day.

As a young person, I studied Martial Arts in the Far East. Upon returning to the United States, I always found schools to be less than my expectations.

Now 20 years later, I have found a school that embodies all I was looking for in a dojo: a family environment dedicated to instilling the essence of Martial Arts in all who train.

Today, me (43) and my three children (17, 13, 7) all train at Five Rings. And I could not be happier with the results.

The curriculum is set up to help students of all levels to thrive. My youngest son enjoys the approachable, fun and friendly environment. He begs to go there whenever there is a "parents night out". Even more, I love that it isn't just fun and games. He gets structure, discipline and much guidance from the instructors about the value of the training and its effect on him being a better student, friend, and citizen.

My daughter loves the confidence it gives her and how much her dance training has helped her training especially with Katas. My oldest son loves the physical aspect. He gets a chance to express himself physically and challenge and be challenged by his classmates. I think he mostly just wants a chance to get physical with his old man.

I love the school because it has given me a chance to share an interest with my children. It has brought us closer together and gives us something to talk about when we are not in class. I have grown close to both instructors and they have enabled me back on my path to accomplish one of the earliest goals I set for myself; to obtain my black-belt.

Sensei Mike and Sensei Vince are a great compliment to each other. They bring varied skills and expertise to the team and the students are better for it.

For anyone interested in better themselves physically and mentally, I highly recommend Five Rings.
