Excellent school. Very knowledgeable instructor. You would be hard pressed to find a better school in the area.

Highly recommend this dojo for both adults and children of all ages. You won’t be disappointed. Dojo isn’t about making money, it is about quality instruction with an “at home” feeling from day one.

Well with all the reviews on this school seems to me they are all talking crap and a bunch of blow hards I will definitely take my family somewhere else and sign up!!! Don’t need all the bragging about being the best there is need someone willing to back up what they say when being called out like they have been!!!!

Hello this is Randy otherwise known as Ox!!!!! To the crackhead who can run the dicklick on the front of his face and does not even have the backbone or the balls to put his real name on a so called review!!!! If there is a problem with Shihan Goss or this School I am inviting you and your school to the tournament that we are putting on!!!! It is no pads, no punches pulled, no holds barred tournament then we will see who puts up or shuts up!!!!! It is on concrete in the real street where fights actually begins and ends! It will be live streaming on all social media networks and recorded!!!!!! This is also being post on other sites calling out all those who can talk a good game then we will see who can back it up!!!!!!

Sounds like our Mr. Ox has some hateful things to say about this dojo. The dojo has grown, yes it is in a basement, why? Low rent so they can keep the tuition low for the students. Put up or shut up? Your call Ox come by and discuss this some time

In this dojo you are a member of a family, not just another student. The instruction and support you receive are rarely found these days. I am sorry that Mr. Ox is so negative toward this dojo, especially with no personal experience in it. Mr. Rayburn follows no one's standard, he is the standard. Highly recommended for anyone!!!!

With no actual experience in this dojo, Mr. Ox seems to be an authority on what is taught. The instructor has 40 years experience in Isshinryu Karate and is one of the foremost instructors anywhere. The dojo offers a free introductory lesson to any interested student, maybe Mr. Ox should stop by sometime.

If they are so good why have they never gotten any bigger and in a basement. Well it does not matter it is not that the only reason the comments above are there is because that is the only martial arts in that town and the people of that city are not educated enough to know any better!!!! Cause if they were they would go out side the city and would see that Mr. Rayburn is not what he seems to be!!!! But that is just me! But I will ask that you go check out other styles outside Etowah and then respond back to this with name of who you spoke to! See what I am saying is it is put up or shut up time!!!!!

I spent a lot of years under the instruction of Sensei David Rayburn. He's very well educated in the art and cares about his students and the quality of their teachings. He's very well focused on quality self-defense and hard work-outs. For the well over 10 years I practiced there Sensei Rayburn nearly always stayed after class to answer questions. For my entire time there, it was a great school with great instructors and some great students. Also, the pricing was very reasonable.

This is a great place to study martial arts and Isshinryu Karate specifically. The chief instructor is great with kids and adults and is a knowledgeable and dedicated teacher. The atmosphere in the dojo is one of hard work with some fun. I would recommend this school whole heartedly !
