Elite Martial Arts in Rockaway is a top-notch dojo that balances professionalism with a welcoming atmosphere. They go above and beyond teaching martial arts, emphasizing values like discipline and respect. The instructors here are not only highly skilled but also deeply committed to the progress and well-being of their students.

They have been consistently providing support to various programs in and around the community. Though I don't train, I can say they have integrity with their word.

My son began training many years ago. Elite Martial Arts, and martial arts in general, have positively transformed his life.

He was bullied often as a child, but the Dojo was a safe space for him to exist where he could focus on building his body, his mind, and his character.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this facility.

Saying I wasn't the best behaved when I was younger is an understatement, but this all changed when Elite Martial Arts changed my life. I started training when I was about 12 and started helping out around the dojo a couple years later, I and loved it. I had an immediate change in attitude about everything! I learned how to defend myself but also learned how to control my body and attitude! I wouldn't train at any other karate school.

My now 5 year old daughter has been going here for almost a year. She loves and so do my husband and I. The staff is amazing and extremely well trained and prepared. Their use of positive reinforcement is amazing. The personal growth and self discipline my daughter has gained is inspiring. Elite Martial Arts has programs for small children and adults and schedules that anyone can work with. They teach much more than just karate, they teach kids how to be respectable individuals in society. They also make their students and families feel apart of the Elite Martial Arts family, even if thy are just a little brother watching and supporting his older sister

They have become our extended family. My son started doing karate almost 3 years ago, has grown to love each and every one at the Dojo. They have taught him confidence and to believe in himself and the good in others. Not only have they taught him all of the above but how to defend himself and teach young children to do the same through being invited to the STAR PROGRAM. I myself loved the Mom's Boot Camp and May Mom's train for free! That I actually joined the team at EMA to train and work on me. At 53 your never too old to learn Karate and work on self confidence.

They are the only martial arts school on all the local PTA's. They donate hundreds of dollars to PTA sponsored events throughout the year. They even give away free months of classes and free birthday parties!

My children signed up for a free 2 week trial. When I asked the manager how much the classes cost, she told me she couldn't tell me until after the trial was completed. I was extremely annoyed when she told me after 2 weeks the cost would be $3100. After I told her that was way too expensive and in fact I would not have even come for the 2 week trial if I had any idea it was going to be that much money. She even had the nerve to ask if I could ask someone else to pay for my children's lesson since it was too expensive for me. I told her the fact that she would not even give me a price range when I asked was a bad business practice. She insisted that she did not know what the price would be, yet when she quoted me the price she used a pre-printed booklet and just pointed to the prices. Needless to say, my children were very disappointed when I told them that they could not continue their lessons because they did like the instructor. I called another karate academy in Rockaway after this episode, and they immediately quoted me a price for almost half the price of Elite and for the exact same amount and duration of classes as Elite. I should have know better when Elite refused to give me a price from the beginning.

Elite Martial Arts is a place away from home where the children learn discipline, grace, respect, loyalty, honor, and listening skills. It's a place which replaces the ancient ways of "it takes a village to raise a child". So if you're ever thinking of giving your child the best gift of uncondtional love, bring them to Elite Martial Arts.
