Eastern New Mexico Taekwondo - Clovis
Mr. James Chacon has been involved with Taekwon-Do for more than 18 years. He is a IV Dan Black Belt, training under the instruction of Master Steve Blakeley in Portales, NM. In 2009, Mr. Chacon established his own studio in Clovis, NM.
ENMTKD takes students ages 5 and up, with designated classes for beginners and advanced students so each level of student gets the instruction they need. Classes are divided between younger students (ages 5-9) and older students (ages 10 and up).
ENMTKD provides specific instruction including patterns, sparring, board breaking, kicks, break falls, self defense, and required knowledge. In addition, instructors from Portales, NM as well as schools in OK, CO, and TX are brought in to provide specialized training.

Programs & Class Schedule
Tuesday 5:30 to 6:30 BEGINNERS ages 5-9
Tuesday 6:30 to 7:30 BEGINNERS ages 10 and up
Tuesday 7:30 to 8:30 ADVANCED all ages
Thursday 5:30 to 6:30 BEGINNERS ages 5-9
Thursday 6:30 to 7:30 BEGINNERS ages 10 and up
Thursday 7:30 to 8:30 ADVANCED all ages
*First class is free. An injury release contract is required prior to participating in class.
$5 registration fee per person. This covers the beginner's training book.
$35 per person
$25 per person FAMILY RATE (2 or more individuals from the same family).
Uniforms are $47 and including the t-shirt, pants, white belt, and jacket. Uniforms are not required until after the student has completed their first belt test. Students are allowed to purchase a uniform after attending a month of classes and demonstrating dedication to the art of Taekwondo.
Tests are offered at the beginning of May, August, and December. Students must fulfill pretest requirements including demonstration of applicable level of knowledge as well as ability to fulfill physical testing requirements before they are permitted to register for testing. Students must also demonstrate commitment to training by attending the required number of classes prior to testing.
