Born out of a blend of numerous Asian Cultures, we strive to effectively teach both hard and soft styles, including weaponry. We are dedicated and proud to offer a traditional martial arts education and to share philosophies of ancient past. We invite, embrace and welcome all to come learn regardless of age of skill level.
At Eastern Heritage Martial Arts, you will find a variety of different martial arts forms incorporated into our classes. Our instructors a well versed in a number of different styles, and see value in training students in the basics of all. We have distilled these forms to simply “Soft Style” (eg. Chinese Kung Fu) and “Hard Style” (eg. Japanese Karate). Students of our dojo are taught both initially. This allows the students to build dexterity and knowledge of many styles. It is our belief that students will benefit from learning both styles. Physically and mentally, the hard style builds strength, while the soft style builds dexterity. With a wide knowledge base and muscle memory in both forms, this initial training time prepares a student for continuation in any martial arts form as well as most sports. Once students have mastered the essential basics they are given the opportunity to learn one style in particular, or to continue in both.
We seek to contribute to each student’s growth as an individual. Instructors dedicate their time to learn what a student is lacking and to help them use their strengths to overcome their weaknesses. We strive to contribute to long lasting and life changing personal growth.
