This is a great Dojo! Anyone who wants to work on improving themselves on multiple levels should consider attending this Dojo. I have been involved in Martial Arts for about 28 years and have always been impressed with the level of quality instruction, personalized goals, and acceptance of all students, regardless of who or where they came from. Sensei Jerry is a highly qualifies and experienced instructor who has studied with many Okinawan Masters, thus becoming one himself. When students from other Dojos join they always are impressed with the sincere, caring, supportive, and precise instruction from instructors and fellow students alike. This Dojo works on self improvement through martial arts, Karate do as a way of life lives here. ..

I have been a martial artist for many years, I have trained in several styles of Karate earning black belt grading in 4 styles. My current style is Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu. The head instructor in this dojo is 8th Dan Black Belt Sensei Jerry Figgiani. Figgiani Sensei is president of the Shorin Ryu Karate Do International which has approx. 30 plus dojos world wide including Okinawa. Sensei Figgiani is a master instructor who has many years of teaching experience. Besides being ranked a 8th Dan in Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu, he also holds a 3rd black belt in judo. Sensei Figgiani is an excellent teacher who teaches every class and teaches by example and encouragement. In this dojo not only is traditional kata taught but the movements are explained and the how and why are explained. Okinawan weapons or Kobudo is taught as well. I highly recommend this dojo to adults as well as kids. Very high quality instruction in a great atmosphere.
