-- What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Our dojo is unique because of the tailored approach we take to teaching kids. We make a point to discover each child’s individual learning style and then encourage and empower them with the appropriate teaching technique that will best serve them, all while maintaining a fun learning atmosphere so that they stay engaged and interested!
-- What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Our family opened Dynamic Martial Arts as a way to improve our lives and those of our community through positive life skills training and close efforts with the parents and students we serve, primarily teaching focus, respect, confidence and self-discipline within a fun and positive atmosphere.
-- What do you love most about your job?
I've had over 26 years of martial arts teaching experience, and in all that time it never gets old to see a student light up when they realize they can do something they thought that they couldn't, or beaming with pride for achieving a goal that they set for themselves. It is truly an honor to witness these moments and to be able to be a part of the learning and achievement process for so many kids and adults. Teaching martial arts is most definitely my life's passion!
-- What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
A student that I've worked with from age 6, is now 18 and graduating this year. In her college entrance essay, she named me as one of her most positively influential role models in her life. She said that I greatly impacted her outlook in life and her own ability to positively influence those around her. This meant the WORLD to me!
