Steer Clear: Dragon's Wing is a McDojo with an Attitude Problem

After reading the bizarre "rebuke" from the supposed "Actual School Facts" student, I feel compelled to share my real experience as someone who actually tried to learn here. The previous negative review was spot on. Dragon's Wing Tai-Chi & Qigong is a profit-driven letdown that completely misrepresents the values of these ancient arts.

The claim that "all classes were free" and that the previous review was "LIES" is frankly insulting and laughable. The instructors are incredibly rude, dismissive, and condescending. They carry themselves with an air of superiority, acting as if answering a beginner's question is beneath them. Humility is zero; pretension is 100. It's an unwelcoming, snobby environment where you're treated like a nuisance if you're not already an advanced student.

This school is the definition of a McDojo. It's not about authentic knowledge; it's about the cash grab.

• Overpriced: The membership fees are steep, and they constantly push students to buy branded, expensive uniforms and gear.

• Low Quality: Classes are severely overpacked, making it impossible to get the personal attention needed for subtle practices like Tai Chi and Qigong. The instruction feels rushed and shallow, sacrificing genuine transmission for speed and volume.

• Not Very Traditional: The focus is clearly on quick "level-ups" and belt/sash sales rather than the patient, deep, and humble study that these arts require. The spiritual and philosophical side is completely ignored in favor of a commercialized product.

As for the physical space, "clean" is a strong word. The facilities are not well-maintained and feel more like a cramped, dusty studio than a place dedicated to health and tranquility.

If you are seeking genuine, humble, quality instruction in Tai Chi or Qigong, you will not find it here. Save your money and your time. Dragon's Wing is a prime example of a school that has traded honor and tradition for a hustling business model.

Rebuke of previous review (you never came to my school in Bristol)

Dragons Wing Tai-Chi and Qigong is a wonderful place to learn about Tai-Chi and Qigong. The previous review was not written by someone whoever studied with me. All classes were free, no uniforms or ranks were ever used. The previous review was for a different school, and every single thing stated in that review were LIES. I don't know what school this person attended, but it was NOT my school. Get your facts straight before your talk such trash about a good and honorable school.

A Rude and McDojo Establishment

Man, let me tell ya 'bout my recent trip to Dragon's Wing Tai-Chi & Qigong – what an absolute letdown, I can't even! From the moment I walked in, it was like stepping into a zone of snobbery and disrespect that had me doubting if this was for real or just some kind of bad dream.

The instructors at Dragon's Wing Tai-Chi & Qigong were on a whole 'nother level of rudeness that had me scratching my head. They were acting all high and mighty, acting like they were too good to answer my legit questions or even give me the time of day. It was like they thought they were Tai-Chi rockstars or something, but I'm sorry, last I checked, manners and humility were part of the deal too, right?

And hold up, let's talk about this McDojo situation. They were all about the fancy uniforms, expensive memberships, and pushing me to level up faster than a speedster. It was all about the cash, not about passing down the real deal Tai-Chi and Qigong knowledge. The classes were packed tighter than a can of sardines, and forget about getting any personal attention – that's just not their style, I guess.

I had hopes of vibin' with Tai-Chi and Qigong on a whole new level, but instead, I got hit with rudeness and a profit-chasing hustle. If you're after legit Tai-Chi and Qigong learning, steer clear of Dragon's Wing, my friend. They're a prime example of what not to do when it comes to these ancient practices. Trust me, you deserve better vibes than what they're throwin' down.
