I've taken 15 years of martial arts classes, with three separate schools. I have to say that the Dragon's Way is easily the second best that I have ever attended. The one master who's school I felt was superior is http://www.karate.com/karate-school/Mechanicsburg-PA-17055/Tiger-Park%27s-Martial-Arts-Inst
I spent much time training in the Smith's dojo. At first, all was normal. It wasn't long before Sukyee became very angry during training. She would verbally abuse other students. This escalated over time and as a young teen, they subjected us to physical force. Understandably there is force used in training between students to learn. This was not the way it should have been - she would force students to harm each other beyond just training. If she seemed us not trying hard enough she wouldn't allow us our gear and force us to a repeat a technique or a spar until injury, if not more verbal assault and telling us to "quit being ppussies. Finally she took student to the back and slapped him. This happened to him repeatedly. I remember quite soon after she began to punch him if he was not doing well enough. Avoid the Smith's especially Sukyee if your children are in the cadet class and may try training with the adult class. They are lucky the abuses were never reported then. I hope this can help any future prevention or forward bringing of other abused students like myself.
