We would like to take a minute and personally thank Pat and Josh Reilly. We travel over an hour and a half to attend the downtown dojo. In the short time that we have been attending our daughter has learned more and practiced harder than ever. Both Pat and Josh spend individual time with each student and make sure proper technique is learned. We want to give the Downtown Dojo the respect it so well deserves. They have a fantastic curriculum that is followed and adjusted as needed. Thank you Pat and Josh!

You learn more than karate at the dojo. They make it fun and exciting for the kids, and very welcoming. If you are considering to start your child in martial arts this is the place to be.

I been there for 3 years and love it. Always a great work out and we learn a lot.

My child has been in classes almost 4 months now and loves every minute of it. The teaching by Sensei Pat is awesome, and he goes out of his way to make sure the kids are doing it the right way. I would definitely refer anyone to bring their child here! The parents and kids are great and the atmosphere is peaceful and enjoying. Don't miss a chance to give your child an opportunity of a lifetime. I know I won't be sorry one bit! Bottom line is my son loves it and looks forward to learning something else for the next class.

My son asked me if he could go to learn Karate, and I responded YES! My close friend referred me to the Downtown Dojo Karate Academy, and I have never been so impressed in my life. The teachers are Great, and the children that attend class have the utmost respect for their Sense, and now so does my son. I made a very good decision when I signed him up here! He has more focus and dedication towards many many things now. This school has really impressed me by the compassion of the Sense, and the other teachers that take their time to teach the kids, and I would definitely reccomend anyone to bring their child here. Come and check it out yourself, you won't be sorry!

This school claims to teach Goju Ryu but has NO connection to the style or system what so ever! The head instructor is not in decent physical condition and can not answer any in depth questions about Goju. It appears that the owners of this school trained at Hungsingers karate in Wilkes Barre for a few years then simply went off on their own. NOT traditional martial arts!

My son has been training with downtown dojo . I couldn't be happier with their knowledge and dedication to the students and the way they train and encourage everyone and the team mentality is exceptional. We chose an excellent school for our son and couldn't be any happier . We highly recommend.

My husband and my son are both students and love it there. They are family oriented and do things with the kids outside the school such as Picnic's and tournaments.

We joined Downtown Dojo Karate Academy about 3 months ago. My kids love it. The instructors are great and all the kids involved are awesome. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. They make you feel like family.

This place is an absolute joke. If you're looking for a dojo that only wants your money and doesn't care about you or your child then you found the right place! Pat (I refuse to call him a sensei) is an absolute joke. These people know nothing about what they're doing. They paid to have their ranks and associate with some shady people.. Currently one of the "adult students" loves to flirt with young girls... Very scary. STAY AWAY!!

Lack of focus by Sensei to teach the fundamentals to young students. Money is obviously the focus. Instructors exhibited lack of patience and professionalism necessary to instill the history and respect of mind, body and soul of such an art to their students.

This is one of north east pa's many fake karate schools. Bad teaching with mixed up junk from an instructor who is very out of shape. Please avoid this place unless you want to waste your time and money.

I did not enjoy my time in this school at all. The head instructor is not pyhically fit. Not at all. I would look somewhere else to learn karate.
