I recently started my son at Desert Taekwondo. He was previously studying at another school and when we brought him to Desert we could immediately tell a difference. Desert Taekwondo is a place of excellent instruction and awesome people. I was never interested in studying myself until I saw the level of instruction that Desert Taekwondo offered.

Master Malm and his entire staff at Desert Taekwondo in Tucson are AMAZING! His school is very organized and their instruction of Taekwondo is of the highest quality! I cannot be more happy that I found a school that provides such quality instruction. Students are very respectful and friendly. Try a class and you will see that Desert Taekwondo is the BEST Taekwondo studio in Tucson

After a twenty year absence form martial arts training and at the age of 40, Master Malm and his instructors welcomed me into their program without any hint of cynicism or patronizing attitude. I chose this school because of the positive attitude of the program. There were many young kids, and I watched as Master Malm enjoyed working with boys and girls of all ages, imbuing them with a sense of self-confidence and fun. As there were also several young women in the program, I could tell that this school was not just another all male "in-your-face" martial arts program.

I felt that I was very competently trained. While having fun, there was an underlying seriousness to learning the physical, philosophical and emotional aspects of martial arts. The black belt members were more interested in sharing information and making the younger participants better than they were in showing how "bad-ass" they could be.

I highly recommend Desert Taekwondo to any individual interested in learning the martial arts. Kamsa Hamnida, Master Malm!

Desert taekwando is one of most up to date schools in Tucson, teaching traditional taekwando to weapons disarming. Master Malm is a 7th Dan who teaches regularly unlike other schools that usually have lower ranks teaching all the time.
