Popkin and Brogna Senseis BLEW MY MIND with their Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu instruction!! I'd been practicing Aikido for 8 plus years and held dan ranks in the Aikido world when I had the good fortune to attend a seminar taught by the two of them. I only THOUGHT I had a relatively complete understanding of aiki and its use and effects on the human body... that seminar changed my world! These guys opened my mind to a whole new realm of possibilities that I'd never before considered. But, this isn't just a collection of stuff they "cooked up" on their own. They've travelled to Japan, and brought their Japanese sensei to the US to train with him in furtherance of their skill sets. Their instruction is LITERALLY World Class and second to none. While extremely professional in their approach, they are both still very down-to-earth and more than approachable in demeanor (even for a coupla 'Yankees' ;-) ). They are two of the most interesting, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful (they've continued to assist me even after my attendance of their seminar) folks I've had the pleasure of learning from and calling "Sensei" and friends in my martial arts career.
