I teach t'ai chi and qigong for health and wellness, stress relief, longevity, pain management, balance, and vitality. I teach a mixture of Chen and Yang styles and will work with you to find the movements that are best for you. We can even develop a form that suits you best.
Qigong and Taiji are both slow-moving, meditative forms of exercise that incorporate correct movement, structure, balance, breathing, and intention to heal the body, connect the body to the mind, and improve overall well-being. Daily practice can tone muscles, increase flexibility, improve balance and coordination, relieve stress, reduce anxiety, lower blood pressure, ease pain, increase lung capacity, and enhance awareness and mindfulness. Regular practice can also help relieve symptoms of a variety of illnesses, including arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, fibromyalgia and other pain disorders, depression, and insomnia. Both T'ai Chi and Qigong can help you prevent or alleviate many of the symptoms associate with illness and aging.
