Our style of Kenpo is unique as it was developed from a blend of Chinese Kenpo, Okinawan Shorin Ryu, and Kickboxing by 10th degree Si Tai Gung, Vincent Martinez. The economy of motion and creative striking of Kenpo combined with the linear power of Shorin Ryu and the brutality of Kickboxing form a solid set of tools for standup self-defense. Although you will see each of these arts represented in what we teach at Cornerstone, Chinese Kenpo makes up most of the required material. The one thing we don't find in each of these arts is ground combat, but we don’t let that stop us. To ensure we have the ability to survive a ground attack, we train in Gracie Combatives, which are the core techniques of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
