Mark Cook has been involved with Martial Arts since the age of 9 and has studied Shaolin Iron Tiger Kung Fu and Kickboxing for over 30 years. He owned and instructed a Kung Fu and Kickboxing School (Mighty Tigers Kung Fu Academy) in his home town of Columbus Ohio for 6 years with the credentials of a 4th level black sash in Shaolin Iron Tiger Kung Fu.
Mark studied under Grand Master Richard Greenlee a 10th level black sash as well as 2nd Grand Master Matt Mollica a 9th level black sash and Aaron Ashton a 5th level black sash. Mark continued to develop his kickboxing and boxing skills and technique under the coaching and observation of Greg Goings, a retired National Championship Kickboxer and Boxing coach. Mark retired from a professional kickboxing career in 1996 with a career record of 48-2-1 and many world rankings.
Mark has trained 5 State Kickboxing Champions, 3 Southeast Regional Kickboxing Champions, 2 National Kickboxing Champions, and 3 time World Kickboxing Champion Will “The Caveman” Carpenter. Mark also trained Scott Sheeley who is now a current UFC coach of Matt Brown, Cung Le, Dan Spohn, and Justin Edwards.
