I was a member there for a while. I have seen some real concerning things that made me feel uneasy. One thing that I have seen is a lady student who was a green belt. This lady got hurt and some how made it to black belt with out ever having to test. For the two years I was there, I think I saw here work out only a handful of times. Each time she would get hurt, she would end up being out for several months. I believe they only want your money and will pass you through as long as you pay your monthly dues. Judo of Japan's instruction lacks on all fronts. First, the most you do in a class is practive throws. You never, or very rarely ever actually make the throw. After about 2 hours of doing this, then you will randori with someone to use what you have learned, good luck with that. All I can say is that it is a joke. Please find somewhere to go. Don't waste your hard earned money here. I left there and went to Jason Morris's Judo center. Now I am no super star but this is worth it. Here you get to work with some of the best players in the USA and Canada. Jason is a tough cookie and is very hard to get along with but he knows his stuff and all you do is throw, throw and then more throws. You actually learn to be the best here. And I am just pitching an ad for him. This is what I have experienced first hand.
