Specific work on various self-defense techniques will also be emphasized. Uniform bottom with any shirt. (Non-Martial Arts students can wear workout clothes.)
Olympic-Style Sparring
This class requires a certain level of proficiency in basic kicking techniques, usually attained by the Orange Belt. This class involves conditioning exercises, work on sparring techniques and competition practice. Advanced students can learn to spar with the electronic hogu system, the scoring system used in top-level Taekwondo competitions (including this year's Olympics in London). Expect this class to produce lots of SWEAT, so bring your water bottles! Uniform bottoms and any shirt. Sparring gear/helmet approved by Master Choe is required, along with protective cup for the males and mouth guards for all.
Black Belt/Weapons Training
This class is open only to students who have earned their black belts and displayed the necessary proficiency in Taekwondo to begin training in advanced techniques. Some of the areas covered are black belt forms, advanced kicking and self-defense techniques, and weapons training—with attention paid to developing excellent technique. Techniques from other martial arts disciplines, such as kung fu and hapkido, are incorporated into the training. Full uniform and weapons.
Tai Chi
This class is open to anyone interested in learning Tai Chi. Emphasis is on stretching, breathing and good technique. This class will help you focus and just breathe, while also giving you tips on how you can improve your overall health. Tai Chi classes are also a great tool for Martial Arts students looking to refine their overall technique. Workout clothing.

We also have electronic Olympic Sparring gear available for advanced members. Please see Master Choe for more information.
