Choctaw Karate Club has been teaching Shotokan Karate in Choctaw Co., Alabama for over 34 Years. Chief Instructor Bill McBride has won over 20 state titles in Alabama and Mississippi. In 1993 he was ranked in the top five in the nation in Kumite by USKF. He is also in 3 different Hall of Fames( Mississippi, United States, and International hall of Fame). He has been on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Karate Association for over 20 years. He also holds the rank of 7th Dan in Shotokan Karate. The other instructor is Sabra Temple who has won over 10 State Titles in Mississippi and has won the Slugfest of New Orleans, La. in 2014. She currently hold the rank of 3th Dan in Shotokan Karate. Sabra and Bill were the honor guest for the World Fung Fu Championship held in China by the World Southern Shaolin Kung Fu Association. The Choctaw Karate Club has won over 100 state title in Mississippi and Alabama. A few of their Black Belts has gone on to be nationally rank and to start their own Clubs.
