The Chinese Kung Fu Wushu Academy
The Chinese Kung Fu Wushu Academy is a Martial Arts School offering classes for kids ages 4 and up, teens, and adults of all ages in Kung Fu, Wushu, Tai Chi and Qi Gong in Amherst, Hadley, Northampton, and throughout the Pioneer Valley and Western and Central Massachusetts. The Chinese Kung Fu Wushu Academy was founded by Sifu Binh Nguyen, a national and international medal winner holding black belts in both traditional kung fu and contemporary wushu. The academy is conveniently located 10 minutes from Route 91, halfway between Northampton and Amherst at 195 Russell Street (Rte 9) in Hadley, Massachusetts.

Sifu Binh started his training in 1997 where he first started learning Akido but soon later found out that Akido was not fit for his body. He later found a kung fu school through some of his childhood friends and joined the Kung Fu Academy (FKA)in West Springfield. Right after joining the KFA he felt right at home and was able to expand his true talent.
Sifu Binh was soon taken under the wing of many great teachers including Sifu Linda Dumais, Rene Bernier, Sifu Dan, and Sifu Mark Ostrander. Throughout his training years Sifu Binh has had the opportunity to train with many famous Martial artists such as Grand Master Hu Jiangiang (Martial art icon and Jet Li team mates, Daniel Pesina (from the Mortal Kombat video game), Gordan Liu ( Chinese Action movie star), and many many other great Sifu and Masters.
Sifu Binh's main kung fu teacher however was Sifu Ken Grimshaw who taught and helped him get his black belt in Traditional Kung Fu in 2002. He later got his black belt in Wushu in 2010. Throughout his career Sifu Binh has held many first place medals in national and international tournaments in Southern Fist, Broadsword, Staff, and Straightsword.
Along with his two black belts in Martial arts Sifu Binh also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Resource Economics from the University of Massachusetts because he feels that education is vital to human development.
After the passing of his Sifu, Sifu Ken Grimshaw in 2011. Sifu Binh vowed to continue his Sifu legacy by opening up The Chinese Kung Fu Wushu Academy in Hadley,MA. Sifu Binh's mission is simple- "to spread the arts of Traditional Kung fu and Wushu, and to help my students become strong, wise and kind leaders in their communities."
