Child's Play is a term used by Russian Systema Practitioners. The idea is to teach principles of a subject and then allow the student to explore and develop their natural movements when applying the principles. In essence, remove all prior "baggage" and explore the principles using a childlike mindset.
My courses are designed to learn within a realistic environment. This allows students to discover and explore in the environments they most likely would be threatened. I use drills to develop agility, awareness, focus, posture, confidence, discipline, communication and physical skills. Drills provide students a feeling of accomplishment and pride. They are challenging, yet enjoyable and fun. Principals and the legality of action go hand in hand with any physical action. Students must understand this to be successful in survival of the encounter and court.
My background is in law enforcement defensive tactics, Russian Martial Arts (Systema), Aikido, Wing Chun, and Muay Thai. I've been training in martial arts since 1973. Everyday is a day to learn something new! (http://www.childsplaystudygroup.com)
