Sensei Reiff is excellent at what he does. His love of the art really shines through in all of his classes. The children progress through the ranks and help is always available if they ask.

I would like to thank Tom and all the staff at Charleston Martial Arts for the many years of training I received while there. I have been truly blessed by not only the excellent instruction but by the patient example of Toms Leadership at the club. What I learned there is invaluable in many different ways and helped make me a better person. If you choose to go there you'll be thankful too.

My whole family has had the privilege of training with Sensei Reiff. His approach to martial arts is not just a sport or self defense art, but a lifestyle in which you find yourself striving to become greater in every aspect. He teaches respect, defense, patience, honor and integrity. With the guidance of Sensei Reiff and his instructors, my entire family has bonded in ways we didn't think possible.
If you are looking for traditional training and a family oriented Dojo, Charleston Martial Arts will more than meet your expectations

Recreation and a good work out to top notch martial training

Recreation and a good work out to top notch martial training. Sensei Tom Reiff and his instructors will take you as far as you wish to go and the mix of technique, mental training, and raw workouts is perfect. Juniors and adults can make their training match their expectations.
Our son began the class at the age of 4. The instructors are very attentive to the younger students without over compensating. In this class they are encouraged/required to learn the history of judo, the Japanese culture and language. The children also strengthen skills under the guise of fun games and practice what the have learned with matches with their peers. My son is very excited to learn the art/sport of judo. We have recommended this class to friends and neighbors. After four years into the class our daughter has eagerly joined and looks forward to class.
