The Pros: Friendly, clean, well equipped.
The cons: The way to progress in belt rank is clearly a matter of income. If you are willing to pay, then you will make it to black belt in no time. The majority of their instructors give superficial instruction at best and while they are high energy, you won't learn much after the first month. After that first month, if you want to continue to progress and try to learn more then prepare to open your wallet because you will have to join the "masters club" to progress past a certain point. They say you have to be nominated but then it ends up just being a huge cost and the nomination seems to just be for keeping up appearances because anyone who pays gets in (even brand new white belts). There was no certification to go with rank, just a belt and it was costly (about $40 just for the $5 piece of cloth) and as long as you paid you get your belt no matter how well you actually do during their "belt tests" which seem more like a display of terrible acrobatics than an actual belt rank test. There seems to be little to no standard of quality for their rank.
They market the class as a sort of self-defense but it is anything but that but because 90% of their target demographic wouldn't know what is effective self-defense and what isn't it's easy for them to blow smoke.
They use predatory tactics to trap in people (mostly mothers) who don't know any better because they know moms will pay a lot of money for their kids. They say whatever you want to hear in order to get you to keep paying because hey, if you don't know any better than how do you know if what they are telling you is true?
In general, this is a typical pay as you go belt factory with very dishonest marketing that will say whatever they need to make money and make you feel special for your colorful new belt (that you likely paid a pretty penny for).
