It's a great martial arts class to learn for kids, men and women in the central coast. Central Coast Kendo is a branch dojo of Butokuden Dojo in Southern California. We are part of the All U.S. Kendo Federation (AUSKF) and the Southern California Kendo Organization (SCKO).
Jason Carter began training in Japan in 1994 under Miles Kessler Sensei, Saito Morihiro Sensei and Saito Hitohiro Sensei. He received ikkyu from Saito Sensei in 1997. In 2000, Carter Sensei trained under Gentil Pennewaert Sensei from the Newport Beach Aikikai/Shindokan. He received 3rd Dan Dec 1, 2012 from G. Pennewaert Sensei.
Jason Carter began Kendo at the Yasato-machi Kenyukai in Ibaraki Japan under Inanuma Mitsuru Sensei. He received 2nd Dan from Zen Nippon Kendo Renmei (All Japan Kendo Federation) in 1997. In 2007, Carter Sensei began training at Butokuden Dojo under Maruyama Sandy Sensei and Ariga Taro Sensei. In April of 2014, he received 4th Dan from Southern California Kendo Organization/All US Kendo Federation.
