With over 10 years of experience teaching in many different countries all over the world, and spending the past four years teaching and training in Paris France, Contra Mestre Cabecao (Julio Arruda) and Instructor Tiririca (Holly Sells) have relocated to Des Moines, to teach Capoeira and spread their knowledge of Brazilian Culture
Our mission is to use the traditional Afro-Brazilian art of Capoeira to promote the health, well-being and development of the Des Moines community through Capoeira classes, performances, and community outreach. In Addition, we seek to contribute to the cultural diversity of Iowa and creating a basis for cultural exchange between Brazil and the US.
