Albuquerque Cordão de Ouro Capoeira Academy is the first and largest Cordão de Ouro Academy in New Mexico. Our Academy trains under the direction of Master Virgulino.
The students here are a growing group and many are new to Capoeira. The students here vary widely, we are men and women, boys and girls, students and professionals, military and veterans.
The Albuquerque CDO Capoeira Academy will be celebrating our 7th anniversary in 2012. Our Capoeiristas train everyday except Sunday, and kids classes are held 3 days a week. Occasionally Mestre Virgulino is requested by other CDO academies to provide workshops and award promotions and may be gone for a weekend or so, during those times we may train under the direction of some of his more advanced students.
