This is the Real Deal - No Katas or Ballroom Dancing Here

No silly punching air or almost worthless katas or ballroom dancing; you'll learn some real martial arts. Bruce Lee and Gene Lebell would endorse this school and KM. Learn how to end a fight in less than 5 seconds. Get in the shape of your life. Lose weight and learn real life ways and techniques of self defense. Along the line, they even throw in some Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and some Judo. The head guy, Robert, has taken BJJ from a black belt in it down the line from the Machado boys. (those guys are as good as the Gracie clan, ala Royce Gracie) Robert has gone to Israel and learned from the Black Belts in KM.

The belts usually go White, Blue, Purple, Brown and Black. (though belts aren't often worn in classes; just show up in any color shirt and pants you want, ready to sweat and learn. In my early days, while attending a McDojo typical American Karate school, I was told to leave the building because I'd worn some black on my uniform; and not to come back until I was wearing no black. Only the high and mighty Black Belts could wear black. Later, right after paying our dues, this new Black Belt instructor, took our funds and left the state, leaving all us white and yellow belts wondering what happened. So the first thing I asked the Black Belt of this KM school, was "do we have to wear a certain color shirt or shorts?" He said, "oh, heck no, wear anything you like. " He's very laid back, patient as well as serious about his art. )

A Blue Belt in Krav Maga could mop the floor against 95% of McDojo Black Belts. You won't see any beer gut or pizza bellies in KM, like you do in the Kata and Ballroom Dancing martial arts. BTW, It usually takes 6 months to a year to get your Blue Belt, if you're willing to work.

Come on down to 130 N. 3rd St. not far from Highway 50 and check it out. You'll want to be prepared to jump right in and do it!

(I'm in no way affiliated with these boys and offered my observation without prompting. )

I have been participating in martial arts instruction for years. As a former Marine with a back ground in Tai Chi, Karate and Pencak Silat training, Tim Fisher and his Krav Maga instruction and training surpasses all of it. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience backing up his instruction. A former deputy sheriff and member of the swat team, and over 30 year martial arts training is transforming my martial arts background into a true self-defense system, building my confidence, skills and conditioning to defend myself or my loved ones when the unimaginable becomes unavoidable.

Total Defense Concepts is the full package and the real deal. I encourage those who realize the importance of training in a real self-defense system to check out Tim and give Krav Maga a try.
