My whole family studied Kenpo Karate for quite a few years at Callahan's. Every single one of the instructors is extremely good with children and they are all excellent role models.
The Callahans believe that everyone should be able to earn a black belt. Emphasis here is on the word "earn", not "get handed". Promotion to the next belt level is based more on achievement than on absolute standards.
I personally would have preferred a little more rigor for the upper belt ranks, and that is the only reason I don't give them a full five stars.
