This place is fun and very well run. The instruction is great with lots of detail and attention to the students. I fully recommend it!

Master Caique Elias is a 7th degree red and black belt in BJJ, one of only 4 or 5 holding that rank in the US. Caique studied under Helio Gracie at the original academy in Brazil before moving to the US to teach with the Gracies at their school in 1996.

Caique, his son Pedro Elias (also a world class competitor), and the other black belt instructors here do a fantastic job. The program is is very systematic and the quality of the instruction is high, which sets the Caique academy apart from many other BJJ schools. While many other schools teach things in random order or do "technique of the day", Caique teaches a program with strong fundamentals whcich build systematically to mastery of a very technical art.

The fellow students, of all ranks, have been very welcoming and there are plenty of purple, brown, and black belts on the mat who are willing to roll with you. They clean the mat after EVERY class which is nice to see. Dropping in for a free class was easy and they did not pressure me to sign up. Caique himself teaches multiple times per week - it is not one of these gyms where the big name is on the building but you never see the teacher. He is there on the mat with his students.

The facility is nice and clean with spacious locker rooms and showers, plus easy parking. There is no need to settle for cramped or dirty schools which are still so common in LA. The class schedule makes it easy to come after work without fighting traffic.

I have studied at other gyms and they don't compare!
