Reviews of CMB Karate

I wanted to write a new review after 2 years of being involved with CMB Karate. My daughter absolutely loves going to Karate and MMA class. Additionally, she participated on the CMB demo team which had an outstanding performance before a Trenton Thunder game last summer (2013). She also has competed in NAGA (North American Grappling Association) tournaments and was coached to 2 golds, one silver and one bronze medal by Master Brooks and MMA Master Suchocki. The school doesn't just offer "karate classes"-- it offers students focus, goal driven achievement, increases self esteem and positive role models. CMB also hosts fun parent's nights out events and birthday parties. Master Brooks is dedicated to his students and very organized-- classes start and end on time. Another lesson (time management) which the children learn indirectly just by being a part of this school. I really cannot write enough great things about CMB Karate other than, please come out and give the school a try-- you and your child(ren) will not regret it....

Through my almost 7 years of knowing Chris Brooks and my 4 years of knowing rob i have never in my life seen any inappropriate or obscene behavior, Me and my son (who is a current student of his) feel blessed to have met such kind and professional people. My son and I have never had any complaint about Chris brooks and are looking forward too even more years of being taught by him, For all of those who look at these reviews for guidance pay in mind that if haters who post such negative reviews really felt that way and weren't just trying to Make Master Brooks and Rob look bad , they wouldn't be afraid of using their name.

I am so excited to see the opening of CMB Karate on April 2, 2012!!! Master Brooks is a very honorable man who has taught me and my children for 4 years. I have never seen anything other than the utmost professionalism from Master Brooks or Sensei Suchoki! It amazes me that people can be so vindictive and fabricate lies to justify their own existence! The men that they are and the knowledge that they have to share will speak for itself. Don't allow other peoples jealously to get in the way of making the decision to train under these fine gentlemen. I have an ADHD child who has made tremendous progress thanks to both of them. My son loves MMA class and has been chomping at the bit to get back into it. Consider the source of the 3 negative reviews and you will see them for what they are........a pathetic attempt to tarnish the reputation of two good men on the road to success!

My Daughter took a kick boxing class with Master Brooks for one year. We were recommended to try a class with Master Brooks by multiple families when searching for a new kick boxing class to try. All the good things we had heard, we found to be true. The classes were fun and encouraging. My daughter and I were very pleased with how friendly Master Brooks was. I would recommend without hesitation to any parent to have their child take a class with Master Brooks.

The principles of the karate's code develops your character. Its goal is developing a character that revolves around honesty, trust, tenderness, stability, valor, sincerity, respect and SELF discipline.

The negative reviews i have read from those who have written have none of these great qualities that Master Brooks and Sensi Suchocki distill in the young children and adults alike.

I have attended many classes WITH my daughter. It was the greatest experiance i could have shared with her. I also did my home work and knew what i was getting myself and daughter involved in before we took the class.

With this being said, Master Brooks and Sensi Suchocki are professions in this beautiful art. Anyone that says different doesn't know the art.

I already commended but am so upset about the lies that people are posting. I always stay to observe class. To say that master Brooks or rob are inappropriate is such a lie. I am a teacher who has worked with special Ed and I applaud these two gentlemen. They Never Yell and are always motivating. My family is so looking forward o continuing with these two gentlemen. Do not let the the lies convince otherwise. To all the people who are lying about these two men., shame on you. Your lies are just that... Venom in words... Shame on you. I would trust my sons with these two men.., they are honorable men..

I have known Chris Brooks for a very long time. Not only is he a wonderful instructor but he is truly is a stand-up guy. Great with the kids; teaches them well and makes them laugh! And is someone who is very passionate about what he does. His school is the school to go out and see!!!

I have trained under Master Christopher Brooks for over 8 years and I have also had the honor of working alongside him as an assistant instructor. Master Brooks has been training both children and adults for many years. Please ignore the negative comments. It surprises me that “adults” would take the time to post complete lies about these well respected instructors. Those actions are cruel and childish. Master Brooks is a role model to many and strives to promote excellence and I have never seen or heard him yell at students for getting a technique wrong. He is a Master instructor for a reason. Sensei Robert Suchocki is a highly respectable person and instructor who would NEVER do anything inappropriate to a child. I am grateful to have trained under Sensei Suchocki in his MMA program. I have learned a lot that I would not have in a traditional class.

If you are here looking for a martial arts dojo for you or your child, take my word for it, this is the place that you want to be. More importantly, these are the instructors that you want to have. I know for a fact that both of these instructors will take the time to assist each individual student to be sure that he or she reaches his or her maximum potential. The amount of dedication that these instructors have is impeccable! Training with them, I have gained a sense of respect for myself and others, as wells as the discipline and motivation that I have applied to everything else in my life. I am truly honored to have been trained by Master Brooks and Sensei Suchocki and hope to once again in the future!

I have trained with Master Chris Brooks for more than a year; putting in many hours with him. He was recommended as the best trainer I could want when I was seeking to reinitiate my training and boy was that counsel correct! I have trained with some very well respected and well known individuals in the Martial Arts field, as well as, come from a law enforcement background over the last 30 years. Master Brooks not only knows his craft, he is personable, dedicated and a very effective instructor. He is fair, yet firm; which is essential!

The amount of time and energy he has expended focusing on putting together the best training for his "kids" classes when the school opens is unbelievable.

I look forward to my continued studies with him and wish him well in this new, challenging endeavor.

Awesome teachers who exhibit nothing but the highest degree of profesionalism and skill. Unfortunately, due to this open forum, others have made inappropriate comments here that are not accurate and whose sole intent is to slander this new school. I trust these instructors (especially Rob) with my own 9 year old daughter. Don't let the negative comments sway you! Come out and experience it all first hand and YOU be the judge!

Really disappointed in some of the fabricated, negative reviews on here. It's disgusting what libelous things people will say. I have only known Master Brooks and his instructors to be professionals in every sense of the word. This school promises to offer a wide range of training in several areas, which my kids love. I'm even planning on taking classes there myself! Can't wait for the grand opening in April!!

My son has trained with Master Brooks for four years. He is a wonderful person as well as a motivating instructor. My son has improved his self esteem and shown such progress in school. My son has had the pleasure to work with Master Brooks and Robert in Mma.. These gentlemen have Always been gentlemen and role models to all the children. We are looking forward to continuing our karate and mma journey under their guidance. I highly recommend the school and the professional staff.

I have had the privilege of training with Master Brooks for over a year. He is a sincere and helpful instructor, who isn't just interested in passing a student for money; he really cares about the quality of instruction! His system is well rounded and open-minded, with a strong foundation in tradition without being stagnant or outdated. I would recommend his school to 10 out of 10 people guaranteed. The poor reviews below completely stun me, I've never known Master Brooks to be anything but honorable and decent, nor has he ever yelled at a student for not understanding. He isn't afraid to take the time to teach patiently and kindly in order to get the techniques across. Instructor Rob, likewise, is nothing short of a quality teacher who would never do anything disgraceful or inappropriate.

Master Brooks has always been phenomenal with the kids, easy to talk to and friendly with the parents as well. He puts the kids first and goes out of his way for their learning and our convenience. I'm greatly looking forward to his new school opening on April 2!

Wow, I am thrilled that my child will be attending this school beginning April 2, 2012. We will be first in line if possible! My daughter has studied with Master Brooks in two different environments and he is simply the best. Rob is a great instructor in MMA as well as karate. Master Brooks has assembled a very high quality staff of instructors and will offer an excellent well rounded program that has karate, weaponry and MMA. Any student/parent looking for a fine martial arts program that covers all angles-- this is the place.

my child has been a student of master brooks for 6 years. through the guidance of master brooks my son has gained confidence and discipline. being a single mother, having such a strong role model for my son has meant a lot to myself and i know my son as well. my son and i are very excited for the new school. i would recommend this school to everyone,as my experience with master brooks has been nothing but exceptional.

I have worked with Master Brooks on an individual level as well as in classes working with the school he has trained in. He's always been the upbeat guy helping people achieve their goals. Can't wait to see his school open on April 2, 2012.

Was very concerned about the way Instructor Rob touched my 10 year old daughter during his "MMA" class. Did not feel this class should have been offered to young children. Very dangerous instruction allowing little kids to choke eachother.

Instructors yell at the kids when they get a technique wrong! Horrible! Will never let Chris Brooks near my child again!

Master Chris Brooks is a fantastic instructor and the opening of his new school in the West Windsor area is exciting. He is extremely knowledgeable, interested in seeing his students learn and progress. Wonderful ability teaching children and adults.
