Buzz Durkin's Karate School in Atkinson NH. Was one of THE BEST establishments I've ever brought my son David to. David is a high functioning autistic child who absolutely THRIVED from the teachings of Buzz Durkin and his FABULOUS staff! They work as a unit and as a family under Buzz Durkin's guidance and expertise. They are ALL very patient, kind, generous and TRULEY care about each and every individual that enters the Dojo's doors... Students, family and friends alike. They are all professional, curtious and exceptional people in their own ways. I would recommend Buzz Durkin's Karate School to absolutely EVERYONE. Not only did my son David acquire his black belt there, but he studied to be the best young man he could as well. DEFINITELY an unique experience as well as a pleasure every single time!

The instruction is excellent. Everyone is kind, respectful, and genuinely care about the students and families. Mr Durkins always makes an effort to come over to greet us…every single class. The staff never miss an opportunity to send a card to congratulate earning a new belt or to wish a happy birthday. We missed a class because my daughter had a sleepover and the next class each staff member asked her how the sleep over was! My daughter has been taking classes for almost a year. She continues to enjoy class, feels motivated and has gained confidence in her ability to defend herself if necessary. She’s 12 years old, smaller in stature for her age and has gotten so strong! Most important…she’s learning a great life skill, having fun doing it, and is surrounded by positive role models…win, win, win. Oh and she can also throw a pretty great kick now a days!
