If you go and keep going, you will develop strong practical self-defense skills. Chief instructor and owner Steve Katzer is a master teacher. He will push you, but not discourage you. I am on my 4th year of training and go every day. I have watched many people of all ages and physical conditions transform in relatively short times if they keep coming in and train hard (its fun too!). It is astounding. This dojo is the real deal. Do not expect to be handed promotions of rank; you will earn each level; even your white belt. There are various teachers as well as sparring; all are excellent I feel extremely fortunate to train at Katzers Bushidokan.
