Master Eileen has trained me since the 80s. She and her wonderful husband Nelson also trained my late Father. They are strict masters and do not give away belts. They make you work for them. They teach traditional Karate which means you will learn a dozen Katas, spar, learn history, meditate and master the kicks, throws and punches. For me this was also a spiritual journey that blessed my life with fun, happiness and excellence. I had fun as a child, grew as a young man and grew wise and strong when I got my black belt. Master Nelson was their for my family when my Father passed and became a father figure to me. I will miss my friend and master and think about him every day. Master Eileen is still their with her wonderful family. Now years later in California I feel a hole in my heart that can't be replaced. I do close my eyes and dream of crisp snaps in my GI while doing Katas, Nelsons gentle voice leading me through meditations and the excitement of a young boys eye watching his Father spar. What a wonderful journey this was. May God bless this Dojo and the Whitney family. Please give this place a shot and you may just end up changing your life.
