While some come from many different disciplines before finding a school they fit into, this was the first dojo I joined. The first thing I notice is the location; Mt Philo to the East and Adirondacks to the west. With an art emphasizing an individual’s connection to nature, I can't think of a better location.

The inside of the building is filled with a finished floor and mats that get cleaned every class. The walls are covered in authentic training replicas of martial tools and armor constructed by the members of the dojo. The people are an excellent collection of talented individuals that contribute to the training for everyone.

I quickly learned that the training is the most important thing in this school. The instructor has made many contacts across the globe that keeps the curriculum exciting and fluid. Guest instructors visit on a yearly basis from all corners of the world.

Over the past 6 years I have seen exponential growth in myself, personally, professionally and in my training. This is a great school for someone looking to improve his or her life. It will push you, expose you to amazing people, experience many different cultures and be a very positive force in your life.

I've been through many arts over the last 26 years, and none have felt so complete as this one. This is a true martial art, where it works on aspects of life, body spirit and body. There's a good dynamic amongst the students, the instructor has grasped aspects of this art so well he demonstrates the art effortlessly, clearly showing brute strength not needed. He has real ties to the grandmaster and multiple sources from around the world. The training is mind blowing, and even the simplest techniques can unlock limitless possibilities. I've always left impressed and feeling good. I definitely think everyone should give this school a look into

The training is always extremely informative and fun. I have never left there in a bad mood. The training and the people will lift your heart and soul to a level you never thought possible. The school is rich in history and lineage. With direct contact with the greatest teachers all over the world there are always new views and ways to discover, even if it is something we have done before it will seem completely new. The school and its teacher are a credit to the Japanese way of training. If you want the real deal there is only one place to get it in my opinion.
