Bushin, when translated from the Japanese, means “authentic war”. Ryu means school and denotes “studies”. So Bushin Ryu simply means an authentic school of classical war studies.
The system developed and taught by Kaiso D’Antonoli is a culmination of 30 years of martial arts experience, influenced by his past teachers and professors. It is built on a foundation of strong basics, structurally sound techniques, and a deep understanding of “heiho no michi” (the way of strategy). The system encompasses the arts of the samurai and ninja- with a very strong base of of the Japanese martial technique taught to the warrior caste in feudal era Japan.
In 1998 Kaiso D’Antonoli relocated to the Phoenix area from California. Kaiso loved Arizona from the first day he arrived and has always found great inspiration in Arizona from the desert to the white mountains. For this reason it has been his home for the last 16 years and the home of The Budo Shingikan Honbu Dojo in conjunction with the International Martial Arts Organization it is coupled with. Kaiso established the Bushin Ryu Aiki Bujutsu World Federation Corporate Headquarters – Martial Arts Phoenix.
