Bronx Shotojuku is much more than your typical karate school. It's a place where adults, teens and children convene to motivate one another as we are a "Dojo Family". Bronx Shotojuku is the school that cares and invests in the interests of all students. Joining Bronx Shotojuku not only gets you traditional style in Shotokan training, it provides you a family who truly cares. Bronx Shotojuku helps one another to have more confidence in yourself not only in the dojo but in life. While we train to get fit, exercise, and get discipline with respect to the art, we become truly motivated in ourselves.
Sensei Edwin Concepcion has been training in the martial arts since the age of 7. He has obtained his blackbelt in four different styles. His passion is in Shotokan Karate. He is a direct student of Shihan Kai Leung and continues to train under his direct guidance. Sensei Concepcion is a licensed referee and a member of the blackbelt council. His dedication in the arts is evident in the teaching he provides to his students in his school at Bronx Shotojuku.
