All classes are personally taught by Sensei Pardue. He relocated to the USA from Ireland and established the American Wado Academy in Florida in 2003, spreading to California in 2008 and Boston in 2013. Sensei began training as a young boy in 1971 under the leading masters of Wado Karate in Europe, Sensei Iwasaki and Sensei Shiomitsu. Wado Karate combines the strikes of Karate with the sweeps, locks and throws of Jiu-jitsu.

Defense
We teach striking, evading, sweeping, throwing and locking performed standing up because the last place you want to be is on the ground. The immedaite effectiveness of the techniques will give you a new confidence.
Fitness
Classes are based on basic moves for core and leg strength, fighting combinations for stamina. You will get physically fit and gain the mental toughness that will help you in every area of your life.
Spirit
Fighting Spirit (Toukon in Japanese) is central to Wado Karate training. You will focus your attention on performing the techniques as if your life depended on it building a strong fighting spirit that you will carry with you wherever you go.
