I was a student at Black Lotus Kung Fu 18 ago.

I still fondly remember the work done in class to learn the movements, spar with classmates, and get some good exercise in my week. It is clear that Sifu Jeff's passion for the art drives his teaching and delivers quality instruction that is unparalleled. I still remember fondly the sense of community shared in a very accepting dojo, and from time to time miss the classes and teachings at Black Lotus Kung Fu. Give it a few weeks to try it out, and you won't be disappointed.

I have been involved with formal martial arts since I was 20 years old, in 1973. I was a student of the best Karate school in Utah during the 70s and 80s, studying with Sensei Dave Atherly, Bernie Garcia, and Tilly Garcia. After enlisting in the US Air Force, I have had the privileged to study/train Tae Kwon Do, Karate, and Kung Fu with some of the top instructors throughout the United States and Asia/Pacific. Some of my notable Sensei’s, Master’s, and Sifu’s have been: Sensei Joko Niomiya, Master Sung He Wong, Sa bam nim Tony Quiming, and Sifu Frank Rivera. Sifu Jeff Crenshaw from Black Lotus Kung Fu is an amazing instructor. He is very dedicated to his school and is always willing to teach new and experienced students all that he knows for their appropriate level. Sifu Jeff teaches an assortment of weapons. Wow! How someone can understand and explain so many weapons is great and we never get a same old routine during classes. He does have a formal class structure; however we do not do the same routine every night. Each class is structured for a particular animal or fighting sequence (forms). I enjoy studying with Sifu Jeff Crenshaw. gnp
