Mr. Beckham is one of the premier martial arts instructors in Greenville, SC. He has over 35 years of training under his belt, and he has adjusted the art over time to make it more efficient and effective. You will not find another street worthy self-defense school in the area that can offer what BMAF offers. This school is not a cage-fighting, competitive school. This art is for everyone who wants to learn to keep themselves and their family safe, but Mr. Beckham does not allow egos in his school. Every student attending BMAF is a decent, humble martial artist. I would recommend him and BMAF a hundred times over to anyone looking to train (adults) or looking for a school for their children to learn self-discipline and respect for others/themselves.
My son was able to receive instruction from Mr Beckham for 1 year. While observing him and the instructor at each session, my respect for Joe was built and remains at a very high level today. I deeply appreciate the values he helped instill in my son. I highly recommend this dojo and instruction for all ages.
