Martial Art Styles

The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Barnard's Martial Arts:

• Kobudo
• Kung Fu

Programs & Class Schedule

Kung Fu Kids - A program designed for ages 4 to 6 with emphasis on having fun while learning the qualities of a martial artist such as courage, respect, and courtesy. Kung Fu Kids wear the traditional Chinese Gung Fu uniform and received badges symbolizing their accomplishments. Class size is limited to 12 students. Monthly tuition for Kung Fu kids is $69. Class meets twice per week at 3:00pm.

Impact Martial Arts - Students age 7 to 10 attend Impact Martial Arts class. This program is designed to teach students from beginner to intermediate levels in both Kempo and Gung Fu. Class size is limited to 20 students. Monthly tuition for Youth Martial Arts is $89. Class meets twice per week.

Junior Black Belts - Students age 11 to 13 as well as Impact students ranked Purple Belt or higher attend this program. This program is focused on developing leadership and advanced martial arts including weapons kata and practical self-defense. Class size is limited to 20 students. Monthly tuition for Junior Black Belts is $89. Class meets twice per week.

UKGA Class - This class follows the United Kempo and Gung Fu Academies curriculum precisely as it was taught to Sensei Barnard by Shodai Atchley. Students from ages 14 and up enjoy unlimited class participation with 8 classes available each week. Monthly tuition for all students ages 14 and up is $89.

Barnard's Martial Arts also offeres specialty classes such as Women's Self-Defense, Kobujutsu Weapons, and Gung Fu Wooden Dummy.
