Beware! Fake BJJ school

The owner only rolls with girls and women. Cancels classes on a weekly basis. Received his black belt under questionable circumstances from a guy who is known to give black belts for money. Parents run the classes while he is on vacation all the time. Dont waste your time go to Frisco or Plano and sign up in a real BJJ school.

Perfect for recreational and competitive people alike.

McLane "Mac" is a great instructor. I have trained with him for a couple of years now and couldn't ask for more out of an instructor. Now that he has his own academy the atmosphere is even better. For new students walking in they will know exactly what it will be expected of them to earn a blue belt as a 50 lesson plan(put together by Mac & approved by Rodrigo Gracie) is clearly hanging on the west wall.

The main focus of the school is "old school" self defense based bjj but there is also plenty of "sportive" grappling instruction as well.

If I had anything to knock about the school as of right now it is that being a new school the number of students is limited. This has good points as you get a ton of personal instruction. The only bad side is a limited amount of training partners means less body types and strategy types while sparring/rolling.

With 23 bjj classes a week(& more on the way) it's hard to beat from a scheduling & a return on dollar point. So for less money than most all the other grappling gyms in the area you get a ton of classes & personal instruction from a great instructor who has been training directly with the Gracie's since '93.
