Kokikai Aikido leads the student to discover their strongest state by learning to apply minimum effort for maximum effect. Through regular practice the student learns to remain calm so their response will be more natural to any situation they face. The student will develop good habits that will become their second nature. Classes include stretching and warm up movements, Ki development exercises and self-defense techniques. Weapons training with bokken and jo aid the student to develop their empty-hand application of techniques. Kokikai Aikido training is based on the assumption we will face multiple attackers simultaneously. The pace starts out slowly and steadily increases to end with quicker paced training to develop stamina.
