Meet the Business Owner: Steve C.

Steve Caprara is a martial artist with over 23 years of experience and holds a 3rd Degree black belt in GoJu-Ryu, a 2nd Degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, as well ranks in Kung Fu, and Aikido. He has had the honor to train with some world-class athletes such as; Shihan James Chillemi, Dan "The Beast" Severn, Roland Osborn, Master Kenny Perez, Grand Master Richard Na and Frank Shamrock.

He has been teaching martial arts to men, women, and children for over 15 years. He has also competed nationally and ranked Grand Champion in several Regional competitions.

His certifications include:

- ACT, NTS Security Arrest & Control Tactics

- CDT Non-deadly Force Bodyguard System Levels 1-3

He is the GoJu specialist at the Arizona Isshinryu Karate Academy, and was previously the director for the Kung Fu & Karate Kids program at USA Martial Arts.

Youth Karate
Ages (5-12)

The Youth Karate Program is fun and dynamic and teaches core values through a variety of drills.
The Youth Karate program teaches more advanced concepts of the martial arts that are suited for children 5 and up as they have a better understanding of balance and right/left coordination. Karate is not learning to fight in order to hurt someone, but rather learning to be strong mentally, physically, and emotionally so that one never has to fight.
This program touches on bully prevention, playground etiquette, and understanding what to do should a situation arise.

Teen & Adult
Ages (13+)

The teen and adult class teaches all the fundamental curriculum but with a more mature understanding of the techniques and their ultimate applications.
We know how awkward it can feel to train with five and six year old's, how intimidating it can be to step onto the floor with fierce, determined adults and teens. Yet everyone you encounter on the floor has faced those barriers. And each of us has been reminded to let go and give in to the child inside.
