Ancient Arts is the USA headquarters for Kuk Sool Kwan Hapkido, a hapkido that was combined with Korean kung fu and the bodyguard martial art of Korea's old royal court and current special forces. It is a classical martial art which still emphasizes kigong, philosophy, and live training. Both the school and art are members of the Korea Hapkido Federation.
The head instructor is Master Mike Dunchok, L.Ac., 7th Dan Kuk Sool Kwan, and 7th Dan Korea Hapkido Federation, with 28 years martial arts experience and 12 years teaching experience. Master Dunchok is a California licensed acupuncturist and was valedictorian of his medical school. He also has degrees in theater arts, classics, history, and religious studies.
