My parents tried to get me into Tae Kwon Do when I was still living at home. I was probably 12. I walked into a studio and watched the drills and instantly decided it wasn't for me. Now there I was, 12 years later with a child of my own who needed to learn focus and respect above all else due to his lack of concentration in school. I decided to enroll him at America's Best Kids Karate. When the instructors said he needed to practice at home, and I realized I couldn't help him because I didn't know the moves myself, I decided to join the adult classes myself. Not only can the instructors make it a blast for the kids and adults, they can turn serious mode on in an instant. My son's grades have improved. I've lost weight. We've both gained respect for the elderly and authority figures. The instructors here are amazing, and have helped me to find something that I have an intense passion for - the martial arts.
