Like the Phoenix in our logo, we emerged from the flames of rigorous training and the ashes of the past. And like our name "Amalgam" (ə-ˈmal-gəm), we are a cohesive, powerful blend of our unique constituent parts, combined to provide a rich personal development experience and practical self-defense value to our suburban Chicago community and the world.
