The Akaishi Dojo, located in Parker, Colorado, is run by Sensei Dave Nettles. The facility has a 50 mat sprung floor for Jujutsu and Aikido. An extensive hardwood training area is available for swordsmanship.
Sensei Nettles has over a decade of experience as a TSYR Jikiden student, training in the TSYR Hombu Dojo directly with Kaicho, Toby Threadgill. Sensei Nettles currently holds a Shoden Mokuroku teaching license in Shindo Yoshin ryu issued by the TSYR Hombu Dojo and has assisted Sensei Threadgill during several high profile seminars in the US and Europe.
Sensei Nettles has extensive experience in Nihon Budo. He holds a 6th dan from the Japan Aikido Association headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. For 22 years Nettles Sensei was the JAA/USA’s president, and for 15 years was the organization’s technical director. Nettles Sensei retired from his position in the Tomiki Aikido Association in 2013 and now pursues training in Nihon koryu through TSYR
