Adult classes focus on the practical, martial applications of aikido, as well as the personal development inherent to practicing a traditional budo (martial way). Youth classes focus on developing self- and situational-awareness, and self-defense skills and strategies through serious technique practice, silly games, and exercise. All classes also strive to impart the many other benefits derived from martial arts practice such as improved concentration, self-esteem, self-control, and communication.
