Aikido of the San Juans offers traditional martial arts training to adults and children. Aikido is a non-competitive martial art that uses circular movements to blend with and re-direct energy in a way that neither partner is hurt. We train in hand techniques and with bokken (wooden sword) and jo (wooden staff).
Aikido promotes peaceful conflict resolution, with principles and philosophy that are used in countless applications on and off the mat, in physical and mental situations.
Instructors Lisa Jensen (3rd dan) and Bill Trimarco (3rd dan) have been training in aikido since 1988 and are now students of Hans Goto Sensei, 7th dan. Aikido of the San Juans is a member of Takemusu Aikido Association (www.takemusu.org).
