Quality of instruction is excellent. The sensei however has a difficult personality. This is a good place if you get along with sensei. For those who cannot, you will probably need to leave. Many have. Many also have stayed.
The sensei is difficult to negotiate with. I ordered him to defy me and reduce his training fee, but he would not. His subordinates simply gave me a pamphlet and began to interrogate me. I remained silent. I was, however, thoroughly entertained by a demonstration from some of his protégés. Their technique was derivative of Ueshiba's early students, but less informed as to identifying the threat at their doorstep. They were at least effective in that they drove me away with their shouting. When I crossed the threshold to their dojo they should have taken more aggressive action. Because I was far outnumbered though, I retreated after having had a realization that the money in my possession was in jeopardy of being taken by them. I left instead of staying and fighting his entire coterie of children. Bad move on their part. They should have realized I was a ninja and killed me when they had the chance.
