The Shuharikan Dojo is an internationally recognized and accredited Yoshinkan Aikido Dojo. The sensei are certified and licensed by the Aikido Yoshinkan Federation (AYF) under the tutelage of the Yoshinkan Honbu Dojo in Shinjuku Tokyo, Japan.
The Shuharikan instructors focus on the science of Aikido: how and why certain techniques work and what factors make them effective. This style of Aikido focuses on correct posture, timing, distance and balance with emphasis on kihon waza (basic techniques). Once a student is proficient in these basic movements, the student learns advanced techniques and begins to make Aikido their own.
